Challenging, interesting, fun, hard! It is all of these things to me because I have dedicated many years to marketing and it is constantly evolving. Yes, I am dating myself, but digital marketing was not a thing when I earned my Bachelors Degree.

One of my favorite football players, Jason Kelce, said ” I don’t know how smart you have to be to be a marketing major”. Wow thanks Jason!

I have had to constantly learn new platforms over the years. Each product or service I created a marketing plan for had its own set of rules and challenges. Trying to stay on top of all these changes has been challenging but it also keeps things interesting. When I decided to earn my Masters Degree, I chose to continue my path in marketing with a concentration in digital marketing. In just my first week of reading the textbook, I have thought how much things have changed since it was published in 2015.

I look forward to expanding my social media marketing knowledge as I continue through this course and learning from all of the experiences of my professor and classmates. I didn’t see it in the syllabus, but maybe we can add social media marketing for the retired professional football player to our coursework and evaluate #62’s content.
